Snagging Lists

A snagging list is a fully comprehensive list of items that a builder has not completed correctly and defective work to be repaired, to complete the property to the expected standard. On completion and submission of the list, the required works are attended to by the builder prior to the closing of the sale or works.

A snag is simply a defect or jagged edge, having your snag list compiled is an opportunity to confirm that the work is completed as agreed or the brand new property you are purchasing is finished to the expected standard.

Snagging is generally considered to cover cosmetic items such as paint splashes, chips, incorrectly hung doors, damaged items and leaks.
