Check-Out

One of the most important moments of the tenancy process, we contact the tenant to make an arrangement at an agreed time and date at the end of the tenancy, all arrangements are confirmed via email and telephone and include guidance information on what to expect at check out. During the check-out, the inventory will be checked and any variances and discrepancies to the original will be noted. Allowing for ‘fair wear and tear’ the tenant will be liable to pay for repairs, replacement, missing items, making good or cleaning (where necessary). Included are details of the cleaning standard, overall property and furniture condition, accessible meters will be noted (electric, gas, water, heat & oil) and the keys handed back by the tenants. The clerk will also test and document smoke and carbon monoxide alarms that are present. In due course the report will be emailed directly to the tenant, agent or landlord with a disclaimer detailing further instructions. All our reports can be signed by all parties using a digital signature.
